Extra funding for Slavery Memorial Year

An extra 2 million available for Slavery Memorial Year, 40 percent of which is for Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, Sint Maarten, Saba and Sint Eustatius.

From next month, an additional subsidy of 2 million will be available to support the Slavery Memorial Year. With this additional funding, our Fund hopes to support more projects that will make the commemorative year even more meaningful.

So far, 83 projects have already been granted a total of €1,807,771.

Key details of the subsidy

 

Subsidy amount: € 2 million

Allocation: 40 percent of this subsidy is specifically reserved for projects and initiatives taking place in Aruba,Curaçao, Bonaire, Saba, Sint Eustatius and Sint Maarten. 

This additional funding is available from: 1 November 2023

This additional subsidy provides a unique opportunity for organisations and individuals dedicated to commemorating the history of slavery to increase their impact and develop meaningful initiatives.
