International co-operation in English

English information about our subsidy scheme 'International co-operation'

A subsidy scheme by the Cultural Participation Fund

The Dutch Cultural Participation Fund has a special subsidy scheme for international projects in which a Dutch organisation or professional collaborates with an international partner. The project has to revolve around cultural education (arts and heritage during school time with children), or cultural participation (arts and heritage in leisure time with non-professionals). The application itself always has to be done by a Dutch organisation or professional.

Two funding possibilities

Development subsidy. For exploring a possible collaboration. This scheme allows the applicant to visit a possible partner abroad, to examine the possibilities and opportunities of a partnership.
Max. € 7.500,- (allowed to cover 100% of your budget)

Collaboration subsidy. For existing international partnerships and a plans. This scheme allows the applicant to carry out their plans. For activities aimed at an international collaboration, networking, and exchange of knowledge and experience.
Max. € 25.000,- (allowed to cover max 50% of your budget)

What can I do as an organisation based outside of the Netherlands?

The funding has to be applied for by a Dutch organisation. It is however necessary to join forces with an organisation in a different country. That means that the initiative can also come from a partner. So if you know any Dutch organisations you would like to collaborate with on a cultural participation or education project, you can always approach them to apply for the funding together.

More information

Applications will be judged on quality of content, organisation and collaboration. Sharing the experiences and findings with the Dutch sector upon return is a mandatory part of the process for the Dutch applicant. All the specific details about the scheme are listed in the official subsidy scheme document. Unfortunately it is only available in Dutch.
